Yadkinville Baseball Star Signs with MBI Sports Management
GREENSBORO, NC - Chicago Cubs minor league pitcher Corey Martin signed with MBI Sports Management on January 19, 2011. A former Forbush High School and Western Carolina University standout, Martin was drafted by the Cubs with their 27th round pick in the 2009 draft.
In speaking of his new relationship with MBI, Martin says he is “extremely excited about working with Mike Baker and the MBI Sports Management Team; their resources will help me achieve my dream of making the major leagues. MBI is the agency for me because not only do they have the connections to make good things happen, but also the desire to do so.” Mike Baker, owner and agent at MBI Sports, is also enthusiastic about this new relationship; “Corey Martin is a player that has both the physical and mental ability to have a long and successful professional baseball career.” Martin will report to Spring Training with the Cubs in early March.
